CONTEST OVER! THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED!!! CONGRATS TO FIDGET, COMMENT #227! (the first winner never got back to me, sorry!)

Anytime Costumes

K, with me it is NEVER too early to start the holidays. And you know, since it is September 1st today, I want to start it off with a giveaway for a Halloween Costume from Anytime Costumes for one lucky Shop with Me Mama viewer!

Anytime Costumes has a costume for everyone in the family! From your adorable infant, toddler, tween, teen OR you (Mom or Dad)! Woohoo! When I was told I could review one of their adorable costumes, I sat my 3 year old boy on my lap and said "Choose!" He was so excited and choose the really cute Toddler lil Spitfire Devil (haha, so fitting for him!).

Anytime costumes

When we received it in the mail, which was so quick I could not believe it, my son tore open the package and immediately put it on. The day was sooo hot, but he wanted to wear it around the house, so I let him! It fits him PERFECT. I love how it is made. It is not made cheaply, but with quality. The only thing I wished it had come with was the little devil pitch fork, but hey, I can get that for a $1 at the $ store! I am NOT complaining this is a nice costume! They said this one is very popular this year too! Good choice my son! :) This costume is ONLY $22.50, can you believe it? Very affordable :)

The infant sugar plum fairy or infant ladybug. SOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!!!

153. Carrie  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:16PM

We've only celebrated one Halloween so far with our little one, so we didn't do much besides trick-or-treat at our neighbor's house. We DID have a photo session, though, for the obligatory costume photos. Our baby was asleep for awhile, so we had fun posing her! This year I doubt she'll sleep like that!!!

154. Carrie  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:20PM

I blogged about it, which will hopefully get people excited!

Wow - what a neat site - so much to offer.

I'd pick the child Chronicles Of Narnia Lucy - How fun - Our family would use this all year long.

156. Michelle  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:33PM

Oooo this is a tough one. I actually went to buy a costume for the wee ones today but found NOTHING for Mister Man. They were all girl costumes. *sigh* I think we'd have to go for the Child Dress Up Set for Boys since we never know what Mister Man will want to dress as until the last minute. And even that might change!

157. Michelle  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:34PM

Anytime Costumes is neat!
Shopping there's really a treat!
From a laugh to a scare,
you know it's all there!
Plus prices that cannot be beat.

(My song for them)

Besides trick or treat, we hand out candy. A LOT of candy. We count how many each year because it gets ridiculous -- 352 kids last year. And we sort through the candy we collect to see what we'll keep and eat, and what's going away. I know... we're exciting folk.

159. Michelle  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:37PM

And for the scary story (ok, maybe just scary to me):
Last year, Mister Man and I were on the far side of our neighborhood when he decided he had to go potty -- and not number one where we could go hide in a back yard quickly. We asked the next house if we could use their potty, and they agreed. The house... stank and was cluttered and had broken things all over and had just a dad with no kids there.... We were ummm freaked, but it was too late to turn back, so he went and then we RAN out.

160. Tonya Froemel   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:44PM

I would choose the Tween Devil Grrrl costume since my daughter has had her eye on it for a month now!

161. Tonya Froemel   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 08:47PM

My scary Halloween story happened on Halloween in 1991. We had a huge blizzard and got at least a couple of feet of snow! We still went trick-or-treating though. All of us grown ups were carrying costumed children through the snow.

162. Honey Mommy  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 09:27PM

I would have to go with the Child Toy Story: Buzz Lightyear costume. That is what my son really wants to be this year, so it would be great if I won it!

163. Honey Mommy  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 09:28PM

On Halloween we usually dress up as a family. This year we will be doing Toy Story. We go visit all our friend and go to a local Halloween party.

164. Honey Mommy  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 09:31PM

One year for Halloween I made myself beautiful butterfly wings. Then it was cold and my mom made me wear my coat. Of course the wings wouldn't fit over my coat, so no one could tell what I was. That is horrifying when you are 6!

165. Honey Mommy  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 09:32PM

I just told my husband how excited I am for Halloween to come. He is excited too because he gets to be Zurg and carry a weapon!

166. Honey Mommy  |  my website   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 09:36PM

Anytime Costume is fun
For costumes they're number one.
From silly to scary
and frilly to hairy-
They have everything under the sun!

167. Jason M   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 10:33PM

Every year after trick or treating, we go to my moms house for a nice hot bowl of chili. Then we trek down to the end of her street to a haunted house their neighbors put up for the neighborhood. The kids all enjoy it as do the adults. I think we look forward to doing these two things more than the treats themselves!

168. Jason M   |   Sun Sep 06, 2009 @ 10:37PM

It would be a hard to chose, but we would either get the Hermoine costume for my older daughter who LOVES Harry Potter, or get the deluxe Belle costume for my younger daughter would believes she should be allowed to wear princess costumes as part of her every day wardrobe!

174. Lori Z.  |  my website   |   Mon Sep 07, 2009 @ 11:12AM

It was a dark and spooky Halloween night, and the trick or treaters of the house had just left for their fun. A mummy sat alone in the dark waiting for the doorbell to ring. As she sat, she munched on eyeballs after eyeball from the bowl on her lap. Just then the doorbell rang. The mummy looked down and the candy in her bowl had vanished!

175. Lori Z.  |  my website   |   Mon Sep 07, 2009 @ 11:13AM

180. andrew larkin   |   Mon Sep 07, 2009 @ 01:42PM

The scariest Halloween story I have is about the lady on the corner. She lived in a dark house with a fenced yard. There were vines with spines everywhere. A mean old dog. But the scariest thing is that she handed out toothpaste on Halloween! WOOO! SCARY!

Scary Halloween Story... We went to a church "festival" for Halloween. My son, then four, was Spiderman. Someone else tried to walk off with our Spiderman, thinking it was their Spiderman... we freaked, thinking they were trying to kidnap him for horrible purposes! lol

187. Alicia Chandler  |  my website   |   Mon Sep 07, 2009 @ 04:57PM

My kids and I LOVE decorating for Halloween. We always have the biggest, and best display ever! We add to our collection every year. I always let the kids pick out a few new additions to our display, just to make it a little more fun each year.

My scary story: My husband encouraged me to go through the haunted house with him last year, and although I'm 39-years old, my heart was still jumping out of my chest while he and my teen laughed about it. They're going back this year; I'm staying home to make Cider, lol. I'm not kidding.
